A few months ago The CW announced that they will not be renewing their deal with Hulu to have the past five episodes of their shows streaming through them. Instead the network decided to renew their contract with Netflix and have it so the whole season of the show is up on the streaming service within 8 days. That isn’t the only surprise CW had for everyone.
Last week they released a revision to their streaming app. They did this launch in a big way by having it be the only way you can watch Superhero Fight Club 2.0. They also have the app so you can have it on your Amazon Firestick, Roku, Apple TV and of course all of the smart phones. The nice thing about this app is you don’t have to pay more money to see your favorite show. It is all free…keep in mind that means you will have ads.
By CW having an app like this they are making it so the shows that are on their network stay on their network, and they will be able to sell more advertising to clients as this will be the only way for people to catch up on the latest episode of their favorite shows like The Flash or Arrow.
